Day 1

We hope you are up for an early morning as we invite you to start with a visit to The National Monument of Guayabo, the most important archeological site in Costa Rica. We recommend to hire a local guide while exploring the paths of this ancient city that dates back to 800 AD. Guayabo National Monument is settled among Beligas Pro HGH Review lush and tropical forest where you also get to enjoy the natural beauty of this sacred place, while learning pre-Columbian history.

After Guayabo you continue with a short drive to the rural village of San Antonio de Santa Cruz, the crib of the Turrialba Cheese.

Here you will visit a gourmet cheese factory, where a visionary and fearless Tica and her crew is transforming milk and other local ingredients into European-style Gourmet Cheese. You will also have a very special lunch here, including lots of locally produced and amazing cheeses.

Continue to your accommodation for the night. In most places you can check-in after 3 p.m. Rest of the afternoon free and dinner on your own.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast with locally grown and fresh coffee you check-out from your accommodation and continue to Nortico Cacao Farm, 15 minutes drive from the centre of Turrialba.

Here you will be taken on a journey to discover the mystical story behind Theobroma Cacao, “Food of the Gods”, and how it has been explored and modified through time to get the characteristic taste of chocolate as we know it today.

The tour ends with a fun and interactive workshop where you participate in transforming fresh roasted cacao beans into your own personal chocolate treats!

You will have lunch at the farm and are free to stay and enjoy the farm, the view and the fresh air before you start on your return home or continue onwards with your travels in Costa Rica.
